This award-winning documentary, invited by the International Documentary Association to compete for Academy Award® consideration, has audiences nation-wide on their feet.  When 35 year old comedian Steve Mazan learns he’s dying of cancer, he dedicates his life to living his dream: performing stand-up comedy on The Late Show with David Letterman.  Funny, exhilarating and inspiring, Dying to do Letterman also features appearances by Ray Romano, Kevin Nealon, Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, Arj Barker and more.   Produced, directed, and edited by company owners Joke and Biagio.

On December 7, 2012 Dying to do Letterman was named New and Noteworthy on iTunes alongside The Dark Knight Rises, Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Brave.

Production

The documentary was filmed and edited over the course of five years. Filming began in 2006 and ended in 2009. Editing began with the shooting of the film in 2006, and ended in 2011. Much of the footage was filmed by Steve himself on small DV camcorders and Flip Cams.
